“Witchboard” Remake Coming in 2024; Teaser Trailer Released

Chuck Russell, the acclaimed director behind films such as “Dream Warriors” and “The Blob,” is set to bring a fresh new take on the classic movie “Witchboard.”

Fans got a sneak peek at Russell’s return to the horror genre during the Bold Voices of Horror panel at SDCC, where an exciting teaser for the upcoming remake was unveiled.

The film is set to be released in 2024. However, the exact date of its release has not yet been disclosed.

The cast for the upcoming project has been confirmed and includes Madison Iseman (known for her role in “I Know What You Did Last Summer”), Aaron Dominguez (who has appeared in “Only Murders in the Building”), Antonia Desplat (known for her work in “Shantaram”), and Charlie Tahan (who has been seen in the series “Ozark”).

The teaser is introduced by Jamie Campbell Bower (“Stranger Things”), who was previously mentioned. His voiceover sets a foreboding tone for the audience.

Greg McKay collaborated with Russell on both the direction and scriptwriting of the project.
