Sony has confirmed that Tom Hardy will reprise his role as Venom in the highly anticipated Venom 3, however, the release date for the film has yet to be announced.
Variety has reported that Venom 3 is currently in production and aiming for a release date in October 2024!
It appears that the scheduling of the Venom films has been deliberate, with both Venom (2018) and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) being released in theaters during the month of October. This particular month seems to have been chosen as the ideal time frame for the release of these movies within this franchise.
The commencement of shooting for Venom 3 is anticipated to occur imminently, however, the impact of the ongoing WGA strike on these plans remains unknown at this juncture. Continue to remain attentive for additional information as it becomes available.
The upcoming production will feature the talented actors Chiwetel Ejiofor, known for his role in Doctor Strange, and Juno Temple, who has starred in the popular series “Ted Lasso”. The third installment of the Venom franchise will be directed by Kelly Marcel, who previously wrote both Venom and Venom 2.
Kelly Marcel is not only a writer, but also a producer for the first two installments of the Venom movie franchise. She remains attached to the production of Venom 3 and has been credited with writing the screenplay for this upcoming film.
The production team includes Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker.
