[Trailer] The Root of Your Anxieties Lies Beneath The Surface in The First Trailer For ‘Night Swim’

Universal Pictures has once again partnered with Atomic Monster and Blumhouse, this time for the chilling supernatural tale Night Swim.

Starring in the film are Wyatt Russell and Kerry Condon, and it is directed and written by Bryce McGuire. The official trailer for Night Swim has been recently unveiled by Blumhouse.

The premise of Night Swim centers around a family who, after moving into a new home, disturbs a malevolent supernatural entity lurking in their backyard swimming pool.

The upcoming release of this film is scheduled for January 5, 2024, in theaters. Take a look at the official Night Swim trailer down below. It’s a trailer shrouded in secrecy, revealing nothing about the plot in order to keep viewers in suspense.

We can only hope that the enigma persists through the following year.

The movie is based on a highly acclaimed short film from 2014, created by Rod Blackhurst and Bryce McGuire. The protagonist, Ray Waller, is played by Wyatt Russell (known for his role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier). Ray is a former major league baseball player who was forced to retire early due to a degenerative illness. He moves into a new home with his wife Eve, portrayed by Kerry Condon who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in The Banshees of Inisherin. Joining them are their teenage daughter Izzy, played by Amélie Hoeferle (who will also appear in this fall’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes), and their young son Elliot, portrayed by Gavin Warren (known for his role in Fear the Walking Dead).

Bryce McGuire, the writer of the forthcoming film Baghead, both wrote and directed Night Swim. James Wan, the creator of the Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring franchises, and Jason Blum, the producer of Halloween, The Black Phone, and The Invisible Man, co-produced the film. Michael Clear and Judson Scott of Wan’s Atomic Monster and Ryan Turek of Blum’s Blumhouse serve as executive producers.
