A new Insidious spinoff movie has been recently announced by Deadline, as we eagerly await the release of this year’s fifth franchise installment – Insidious: The Red Door.
Thread: An Insidious Tale will feature Mandy Moore and Kumail Nanjiani in the lead roles.
According to Deadline’s report, the narrative centers around a couple (Moore and Nanjiani) who seek the aid of a mystical incantation to journey through time and evade the tragic demise of their daughter in her youth. As expected, the repercussions of their actions are severe.
Screen Gems, Blumhouse, and James Wan’s Atomic Monster are responsible for the inaugural spinoff movie of the franchise, with Jeremy Slater (“The Exorcist,” “Moon Knight”) serving as the director.
The screenplay for “Thread: An Insidious Tale” is written by Slater.
