Prime Video is set to release a television series based on the popular video game adaptation of “Fallout,” following in the footsteps of Peacock’s “Twisted Metal” series.
According to recent news, the first installment of the “Fallout” series will be released on April 12th, 2024. You can view the official announcement video for Prime Video below.
“Fallout”, the TV Series, is a collaborative effort between Amazon Studios, Kilter Films led by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, and Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks. The premiere episode of the show will be directed by Jonathan Nolan. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner will serve as the showrunners for the series.
According to a recent report by Deadline, the universe created by the Fallout franchise is one that depicts a future once imagined by Americans in the late 1940s, but which eventually implodes on itself following a nuclear war in 2077. The allure of the Fallout series lies in the stark contrast between the unforgiving wasteland and the idealistic vision of a brighter tomorrow through the use of nuclear power held by the preceding generation.
The cast of “Fallout” includes Kyle MacLachlan, known for his role in “Twin Peaks”, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Aaron Moten, Ella Purnell of “Yellowjackets” fame, and Walton Goggins from “The Hateful Eight.
