Following the recent release of the action-packed film Mayhem!, highly acclaimed French director Xavier Gens, known for his works such as Frontiers and Cold Skin, is set to make a comeback with his thrilling shark attack movie Under Paris, which will be exclusively available on Netflix.
Netflix is set to release the highly anticipated film “Under Paris” this summer, described as an “ambitious elevated genre film.” The French poster art for the movie can be seen below.
According to Variety, the movie takes place in Paris during the summer of 2024. This is a significant year as the city is hosting the World Triathlon Championships on the Seine for the very first time.
The story revolves around Sophia, an intelligent scientist, who receives information from Mika, a passionate environmental activist. Mika informs Sophia that there is a massive shark lurking in the depths of the river. In order to prevent a violent conflict in the city center, their only option is to unite with Adil, the commander of the Seine river police.
