With the release of the prequel film A Quiet Place: Day One, Paramount is once again immersing us in the world of John Krasinski’s successful horror franchise, further expanding its universe.

EW provides an in-depth account of the prequel storyline of the upcoming spinoff movie, where Lupita Nyong’o takes on the role of Sam, a woman whose day trip to New York City coincides with the unexpected arrival of the monsters. Thrown into chaos, she finds herself in the company of a man named Eric (Joseph Quinn). Despite some initial hesitation, they make a mutual decision to navigate the city and ensure their survival side by side.

In addition, EW reports that Djimon Hounsou, who had a role in A Quiet Place Part II, is set to return to his character in Day One.

The upcoming film will feature Lupita Nyong’o (known for her role in Us), Joseph Quinn (from “Stranger Things”), and Alex Wolff (famous for his performance in Hereditary).

Taking the helm as director for this fresh installment of A Quiet Place is Michael Sarnoski, who has previously directed Pig. Platinum Dunes will see the collaboration of John Krasinski, Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller as they join forces to produce.
