[News] First Footage From The “Welcome to Derry” TV Series Released; Officially Coming in 2025

The official 2024/2025 Preview video from the Max streaming service was unveiled, providing us with an exciting glimpse of “Welcome to Derry,” the highly anticipated prequel series to IT.

As stated in the video, the highly anticipated series is set to debut in the year 2025. This new installment will serve as a prequel to the previous two films adapted from Stephen King’s iconic novel, “IT,” directed by Andy Muschietti.

Warner Bros. Television has enlisted the talents of Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs to work on the Pennywise prequel project. In this endeavor, Muschietti will take the helm as the director for multiple episodes.

Starring in this production are Taylour Paige as Zola, Jovan Adepo from “Watchmen,” Chris Chalk known for his role in “Perry Mason,” James Remar portraying Oppenheimer, Madeleine Stowe from “Revenge,” and Stephen Rider who appeared in “Daredevil.

Co-showrunning the prequel series will be Jason Fuchs, known for his work on “Wonder Woman” and “Ice Age: Continental Drift,” and Brad Caleb Kane, who has credits on “Moonhaven,” “Black Sails,” and “Fringe.
