In October, a new horror film called “In the Fire” will be released, featuring Amber Heard (known for her role in “Aquaman”).
Prior to this announcement, the movie had not been on our radar.
In the upcoming movie, Amber Heard takes on the role of a physician who embarks on a journey to a secluded plantation to provide medical treatment to a young boy who possesses extraordinary abilities. However, the local priest (Eduardo Noriega) believes that the boy is under the influence of an evil spirit, and traditional medicine cannot cure him.
This marks director and co-writer Conor Allyn’s first venture into the genre, having previously gained recognition for his 2021 neo-Western drama No Man’s Land.
During a conversation with Variety, Amber Heard offered insight into her latest project, In the Fire, referring to it as a contemplation on the near-mystical capabilities of love. The tale is narrated through the perspective of an autonomous and determined woman living during the transition of the 19th to the 20th century.
The cast of Lorenzo McGovern Zaini, Sophie Amber, Luca Calvani, and Yari Gugliucci also play notable roles in the production.
In the Fire release on Digital October 13.
