Scheduled to hit theaters on September 8, 2023, The Nun 2 is set to make its debut five years after Valak’s successful solo film. Michael Chaves, known for his work on Curse of La Llorona and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, will be assuming the role of director for this installment.
Chaves hints at the possibility that his film will establish a connection to the broader realm of the cinematic universe.
Apart from the return of Farmiga and Aarons to their respective roles, The Nun 2 features Storm Reid from the TV show “Euphoria,” as well as Anna Popplewell from “The Chronicles of Narnia” series, and Katelyn Rose Downey, known for her work in the film “Clean Sweep.
